From childhood, I have always possessed a fascination surrounding the world of literature, becoming more of an avid reader amidst the 2020 pandemic in which much of the population turned to hobbies and skills to distract from the ongoing chaos outside their quarantine spaces. Much the same, I also grew up with a familiarity and fondness for the world of film making and production, being captivated by the stories and emotions brought to the screen year after year. To my pleasure, these two worlds have collided from the very beginning of the latter's creation; For over a century, the movies have taken - both direct and indirect - inspiration from the literary universe, providing an ever evolving slew of new content which expands and furthers the two mediums.
I have created this blog, titled Literally Filmnatics to incorporate some references to the mediums that inspire my content, in order to explore and discuss both contemporary and classic films and literature. Furthermore, we will also be diving into contexts and news relevant to both of the two.
